Being a daily summary based upon my reading of the Wall Street Journal from the corresponding day in 1930-1931.
Motivation
Warren Buffett on reading old newspapers:

I recently acquired several bound volumes of two different governmental/political newspapers from 1926 to 1934 & 1938. Both were printed in Washington and are absolutely chalked full of everything pertaining to the political and economic happenings of those times. One is called “The United States Daily” and the other, “The United States News.” They are incredible “meat and potatoes” resource tools. I’m not an expert, but I would venture to say that the majority of the collection is in fine condition.
